This Customised Birthday Cake was designed for a regular client and a very very talented individual, Piyali. She regularly orders Cakes from us to surprise her friends on their Birthdays and Anniversaries. This time it was her friends who wanted to surprise her with a customised Cake!
The cake design was customised to capture Piyali’s passion for classical music, Madhubani work and Silver jewelry. As mentioned by her friends, Piyali is a great singer and a very good Sitar artist too, which we tried depicting in the figurine:

The hand painted design on the cake was inspired from the Madhubani work on the Saree of her very own brand hiya Woven Art. Piyali loves silver jewelry! And so we made an edible version of it and added it to the base of the cake. The silver pendant in the center was inspired from the gift the birthday girl was to receive from her friends.

In the figurine, the birthday girl is draped in an Indian traditional saree that she loves wearing.
